  •  In October 2008, Ethiopia began experiencing a serious power shortage following rains failure and delays in ongoing Hydro-­‐electric power projects and decided to implement a “short” term emergency power solu=on based on diesel powered generators on capacity rental basis.
  • EnComm participated in the subsequent call for tenders by Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, the state utility company, in compensation against established global names such as Aggreko and APR Energy and was successfully awarded a contract to implement, on a fast-­‐ track basis, a 30MW diesel power plant on a turnkey supply, installa=on and commissioning on a capacity rental basis with full Opera=ons & Maintenance in December 2008.
  • The contract was for an ini=al rental period of 6-­‐months, with op=on of extension to 18-­‐months. EnComm managed to successfully implement and commission the project on =me in February 2009. EnComm operated the power-­‐plant smoothly supplying power to the Ethiopian Na=onal Grid on a 24-­‐hour basis un=l the end of the contract in July 2010.
